Dear UB Architecture Alumni:

I hope that all is well. I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Department of Architecture at UB.

As we strive to equip architecture students with tools and knowledge to address the complex challenges of our times, we have been in the process of reviewing our undergraduate and graduate curricula. We are seeking input from many perspectives – students, faculty, industry partners, and alumni.

The following survey is intended for our alumni only. Participation in the survey is voluntary – but as a valued member of the UB architecture community, we would like to hear from you and learn about your experiences in the field and reflections on your time at UB.

We ask that you complete the survey by March 25, 2022. At the end of the survey, you will also have a chance to express your interest in participating in a small-group discussion with other alumni.  I will share the findings of the survey and results of the curriculum review process with respondents later this year. Your insights are vital to ensure the success of this endeavor and your individual responses will remain anonymous.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.

Genuinely,

Korydon Smith
Chair of the UB Department of Architecture

Your voice matters

Along with input from faculty, students and community members, feedback from our alumni will directly inform curricular revisions that will be implemented over the next two years. Architecture and construction industries have been evolving at a rapid pace and insights from the field will help us identify gaps and misalignments in the curriculum. For those who are working outside architecture or design-related fields, we are interested in learning more about how your UB education has supported your professional endeavors.
