Benjamin Bidell is the Planning Manager in the Niagara County Department of Economic Development where he is responsible for regional planning, project management, GIS mapping, grants management, digital marketing, data analysis, and technical assistance on land use regulations.  Ben is a three-time graduate of UB where he holds a Master of Arts in Geography with a concentration in geographic information science, a Master of Urban Planning with a specialization in GIS and planning technologies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design with a minor in architecture.  He is a past Deputy Director of the WNY Section of the American Planning Association, past Vice President of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce, and past board member of the WNY GIS User Group.  He is a member of the American Planning Association, New York State GIS Association, Urban and Regional Information Systems Association, and Congress for the New Urbanism.  Ben is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional.
