Tuesday, May 14 | 5:30-7:30pm | 429 Plymouth Ave (PUSH Buffalo's School #77 Sustainable Housing Renovation)
Presented by the University at Buffalo Department of Architecture Small Built Works Program, Brad Wales, architect and clinical assistant professor of architecture at UB, in partnership with PUSH Buffalo.
See student concepts in affordable housing developed under the direction of Brad Wales and the architecture program's Small Built Works program. The projects lower long-term carrying costs for maintenance, mortgage, energy, and food through reduced square footages and energy efficiency, as well as less expensive construction methods.
Recently, Buffalo Spree magazine featured Wales, his student-focused Small Built Works program at UB, and his own innovative practice, all of which use Buffalo and environs as a sort of laboratory for smart, community-focused building.
