Offering a fully accredited Master of Urban Planning program in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, our students work in partnership with faculty to connect the art of planning with policymaking, community advocacy, geospatial analysis, and more.

Students in the MS in Architecture program may choose to focus their path of study on Design for Manufacturing and Construction. This new concentration is intended to meet the demand for skilled designers that can bridge the gap between design, architectural fabrication, and construction to manage and deliver complex projects at different scales. 

This program provides a fusion of academic rigor and real-world applicability that not only positions graduates for success, but also underscores our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders in the ever-evolving realm of real estate. Students explore complex trends including place-making and urban design, mixed-income housing and community development, suburban transformation, sustainable development, energy innovation, and the effects of technology in the workplace.

Make a world of difference by diving deep into the socioeconomic, environmental, and geopolitical forces that shape health and development disparities. This program prepares students to become nimble problem-solvers poised to challenge inequitable systems and advance sustainable solutions. Through interdisciplinary coursework spanning refugee health, water politics, epidemiology, and more, you'll gain the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to make tangible impacts.

Dual-degree programs are available for students entering our graduate degree programs. Students can pursue research and advanced studies by combining degrees like the MS in Architecture with an MUP, MArch or other graduate degree programs across UB.
