Offering a fully accredited Master of Urban Planning program in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, our students work in partnership with faculty to connect the art of planning with policymaking, community advocacy, geospatial analysis, and more.

Students in the MS in Architecture program may choose to focus their path of study on Design for Manufacturing and Construction. This new concentration is intended to meet the demand for skilled designers that can bridge the gap between design, architectural fabrication, and construction to manage and deliver complex projects at different scales.

Students explore complex trends including place-making and urban design, mixed-income housing and community development, suburban transformation, sustainable development, energy innovation, and the effects of technology in the workplace.

The Affordable Housing Certificate is designed for aspiring individuals, or professionals with an earned bachelor's degree, with an interest in gaining further knowledge about the design, policy-making, and development of affordable housing in the United States.

The undergraduate pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Architecture (BS Arch) introduces concepts and skills upon which graduate accredited professional Master of Architecture (MArch) studies are based. 

The study of architecture offers an indispensable background for studies in most disciplines: it develops skills in critical thinking and making, and it furnishes tools for interpreting and understanding the ways in which we inhabit and shape the material world. 

This program is closely tied to some of the most complex problems facing society today, from climate change and community health to public safety and housing affordability. Students work in partnership with faculty to connect the art of design with how the world takes shape. Projects cultivate creative problem solving and develop skills that allow students to create places that are not only beautiful, but sustainable, healthy, and equitable.

The minor in environmental design provides students from diverse academic backgrounds a broad foundation in the principles of urban design as well as the form and function of the built environment.
