Overview

Maia Peck is a founding partner of the multidisciplinary practice Serweta Peck (serwetapeck.com) and Architectural Design Critic, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. She holds a Masters in Architecture I from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. She received a B.A. (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) in art history and archaeology from Brown University, as well as a M.A. in Medieval Art with Distinction from the Courtauld Institute in London, and a M.A. in Art History with Distinction from the University College of London.

She has worked for architecture, urban design and landscape offices in New York City and Shanghai. Prior to working in architecture, she also worked in galleries and for several art institutions, including MoMA and The Guggenheim in New York City. She is currently teaching graduate studios at the University at Buffalo.

She is interested in exploring the intersections between architecture, art and design and the ways in which architecture is in active conversation with various art forms, including dance, installation, performance art, and music.
