Originally from Buffalo, NY, Sandra studied architecture at SUNY Buffalo from where she graduated in 2012 with her Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Complementary to her studies there, she assisted faculty members in research and design competitions. Later seeking to advance her architectural education, Sandra moved to Brooklyn in 2013 and began pursuing her Master in Architecture at Pratt Institute. Throughout her time there, she curated and compiled student work within the architecture program for their annual publication, InProcess, and graduated in 2016.
Her first professional endeavor post-graduation was at Davis Brody Bond where she worked on various diplomatic facilities; However, the bulk of her experience was focused on student and faculty housing for 181 Mercer St, a 750,000 square foot new mixed use university building for New York University. Sandra currently works for COOKFOX Architects where she has been growing her passion for biophilia and environmentally responsive design for 2 years.
