DEVELOPMENT—The PKB Group
The PKB Group is a for-profit, impact-oriented multifamily and single-family development firm creating new supply in upstate New York.  The PKB Group is developing market rate housing exclusively with a focus on workforce/middle-class housing.  The objective is to enable community-wide economic development and provide housing solutions for the nurses, teachers, first responders, and other essential workers necessary for communities to thrive.  The firm was started in 2024 and will launch its first projects in 2025.  We develop small- to mid-size dwellings for rent using primarily offsite, modular construction. Opportunistically, The PKB Group will develop mixed-use properties to further a neighborhood’s economic development and dwellings for sale to promote homeownership and wealth creation.

DESIGN—Gensler
Before founding the PKB Group, Marc was a Principal at Gensler—a global architecture, design, and planning firm, and was based out of the firm’s New York City office. During his ten years there he was also a Studio Director and a Regional Practice Area Leader with responsibility for leading 65 employees in four offices. He was highly regarded for his business development skills and his leadership of politically sensitive and complex design projects including mixed-use master plans, campus master plans, and real estate portfolio consolidation projects. His clients ranged in sizes from startups to global giants and spanned a variety of market sectors including real estate development, media, education, financial services, professional services, governmental agencies, retail, and industrials. Clients included: Uniland Development, The United Nations, Honeywell, The Boston Consulting Group, IBM, Accenture, The Metropolitan Transit Authority, and PepsiCo.

HOMEBUILDING—Toll Brothers, McBride Homes
Prior to Gensler Marc was an executive and project manager in homebuilding and multifamily development across seven states. He began as an Assistant Project Manager at Toll Brothers and was promoted to master planned community Senior Project Manager. Marc’s Toll Brothers tenure included internal auditing and project management of communities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Illinois. He transitioned to a General Manager role with McBride Homes managing development and construction in Missouri, Indiana, and Georgia. Those communities included first-time buyer and first-time move-up, for single family and townhome buyers. In these homebuilding organizations Marc held P&L responsibility for the communities and neighborhoods he developed. He managed all aspects of development including financial modeling, land acquisition, entitlements, budgeting, land development, general contracting, construction management, home pricing, sales and marketing, plus homeowner warranty and customer service.

EDUCATION
Marc earned his B.A. from SUNY Buffalo’s School of Architecture and Planning. He is also a graduate of Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management where he earned an M.B.A. with a concentration in real estate.
