Transfer Admission Information

Transfer students may be eligible for direct admission to University at Buffalo Environmental Design on a space-available basis, but need the required introductory lower-division courses prior to eligibility into the core upper-division Environment Design workshops. No more than 15 credits of transfer coursework may be applied toward major requirements. Applications to the preprofessional Environmental Design BA are accepted on a rolling, space-available basis, as guided by the School of Architecture and Planning's admission statement.

Transfer students should consult with School of Architecture and Planning Undergraduate Advising for admissions and academic advisement, and the major is typically completed in 6 semesters.
