Dennis Penman is Managing Principal of Penman Development Partners. Mr. Penman previously served as Executive Vice President and Principal at MJ Peterson Real Estate, and Executive Vice Pres-ident and Principal of Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation.
He has been involved in the development of HUD Section 8 Family and Elderly Housing Developments as well as multi-family housing projects. He has specialized in urban revitalization projects such as Ellicott Houses in Buffalo and the Pratt Willert Home Ownership Zone project, with over $50 million of single and multi-family housing in an older city neighborhood. Over the course of his career, he developed over 3,000 units of multi-family, market-rate and government-assisted senior housing. He is the former President of the New York State Builders Association, Buffalo Niagara Builders Association, and Vice President of the National Association of Home Builders. He has also served as a Commissioner on the United States Congress Millennial Housing Commission. He is a Board Member and Vice Chairman of the Buffalo Urban Development Corp., the former Chairman of the Erie County Industrial Development Agency, and the current President of Buffalo Economic Renaissance Corporation.
