Keith M. Belanger is a Senior Vice President responsible for the M&T bank’s Corporate Services Division. In this role, Keith oversees the bank’s 971 facilities totaling 8.4 million square feet spread across some 25 states and 5 countries. He also is responsible for a number of non-real estate support groups, including Corporate Procurement, Vendor Risk Management, Food Service, Travel and Meeting Management, Mail and Courier Service, Records Management and Material Reuse.
Mr. Belanger is a 1978 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy. After seven years of active duty, including an assignment as a commanding officer of a Coast Guard cutter, Keith attended Harvard Business School where in 1987 he earned his Masters in Business Administration.
Keith has worked since receipt of his MBA for M&T Bank, entering by way of the bank’s Executive Associate program. His experience includes several years as a commercial real estate lender, as well as significant general management and special project experience.
Keith is active in the Western New York community, serving on several boards. He currently is Chairman of Buffalo Place, the downtown Buffalo business improvement district and serves as a Board Member for Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper. He is past Chairman of the Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (now known as Visit Buffalo Niagara) and served for several years on the board of Buffalo Civic Auto Ramps, the entity which manages the public parking system in Downtown Buffalo.
