Fall 2017 Lecture Series: Border Crossing

Series of public programs addresses urgency to transgress territories, cultures, and ideologies

BORDER CROSSING presents architects, designers, urban planners, and researchers who are working across boundaries – national borders, cultural lines, or disciplinary demarcations.

In the current political climate, and in the border city of Buffalo, the program explores how borders can be productively transgressed through a number of discursive positions and practices, operating between territories, cultures, and ideologies. This series of speakers emphasizes the importance and urgency for transnational cross-pollination in architecture and planning and celebrates the positive impact of immigrants and citizens from diverse backgrounds. #BorderCrossing
