Peter Reyner Banham Fellow 2002-03

For the past three years, Don Kunze has extended his interests in architecture theory, film, and topology to the study of psychoanalysis, participating in conferences and publications.

He has used video podcasts to connect this work to architecture audiences and has given zoom lectures for architecture classes in Portugal, Clemson, the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center, and the Kentucky College of Art in Louisville. He’s developed a “reverse–zoom” conferencing design that begins with small–group discussions leading to conversation–centered live sessions managed by the speakers. Currently, he’s initiating two conferences, one for Frascari studies, another for a circle of architecture educators interested in Lacan.
