Fall 2025

Full Lineup

  • STUDIOWORKS Exhibition 2025
    8/20/25

    August 20 – November 14
    9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Crosby Hall Lounge
This exhibition presents the inaugural showcase of selected works from all studios from Fall 2024 to Spring 2025. Our goals are threefold: first, to celebrate the excellence of design work and teaching at UB; second, to frame the exhibition as a platform for reviewing and debating our studio pedagogy; and third, to encourage all students to engage with these works as a shared resource and sustain the collective dialogue on advancing spatial professions.

  • Marlene Shigekawa
    10/6/25

    Monday, October 6
    6 p.m. | 116 Crosby Hall
In this presentation you will discover the unique intersection of two communities—Japanese American and Native American—through an exploration of race and place. This program examines the historical forces that shaped the creation of the Poston Incarceration Camp during World War II, revealing the cultural, political, and economic influences that shaped it.

  • McKenzie Funk
    10/8/25

    Wednesday, October 8
    6 p.m. | 403 Hayes Hall
This lecture will focus on the surveillance legacy of the odd character at the center of Funk's 2023 book "The Hank Show," a Florida data broker named Hank Asher. His creations, evolving digital dossiers on each and every one of us, now run inside most of the country's biggest banks, most Fortune 500 companies, and most of our 18,000 law enforcement agencies, including ICE.

  • James Corner
