In addition to the tuition and fees listed above, students should plan for books, general supplies, printing, computing resources, and specialized materials needed for completing the NAAB-accredited MArch degree. Costs will vary by track and length of study, and upfront expenses may be higher (e.g., the purchase of a capable Windows laptop). While the Department of Architecture and faculty make every effort to address rising costs, students may spend an average of ~$1,500 per year for printing and supplies, depending on their courses. For computing, students should budget approximately $1,200–$1,500 at the lower end for a Windows laptop and refer to the updated architecture-specific specifications on the Personal Computing Recommendation website.
