Inclusive Design is design for all. A global movement that seeks to improve the usability of environments, products and systems for the widest range of people, inclusive design is grounded in the democratic values of non-discrimination, equal opportunity and personal empowerment.
MS in Architecture students have the option to focus their studies on inclusive design through advanced, non-studio courses that include: behavior and space (the social nature of architecture); gender, architecture and urban space; ergonomics in building design; and community design service in inclusive design. Relevant electives span the disciplines of American studies, anthropology, family medicine (e.g., care for the underserved), and history (e.g., illness and health in U.S. history, introduction to disability studies).
The University at Buffalo is the only institution in the SUNY system to offer graduate-level options in real estate development. Make a smart investment in your future – pursue an MS in Architectecture with a focus on real estate development at UB.
