Faculty development funding from the School of Architecture and Planning may be used to support activities that will raise the public profile of the School. These activities include, but are not limited to, conference presentations and posters, lectures, panel participation, publication costs, event or workshop participation, documentation and archiving of research materials and findings, and social media dissemination.
All tenured, tenure-track, and clinical faculty are encouraged to apply to the Faculty Development Fund, with priority given to post-tenure faculty. Please note that faculty with research or startup funding are required to spend down their accounts before applying for additional faculty development funding. In addition, all applicants must have an up-to-date CV and annual report on file with the department to be eligible to receive funding.
Finally, Faculty Development Fund proposals are limited to $2,000 per application and will be accepted on a rolling basis as funds allow. The department chairs and the Associate Dean for Research and Creative Practice will review submissions and determine support from the departmental and/or School of Architecture and Planning budgets.
