In order to maintain full-time student status and be eligible for Federal Financial Aid, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of courses at the University at Buffalo. Students who drop below 12 credit hours will lose full-time student status, and lose their financial aid awards. Students can request to take less than 12 credit hours of coursework in their final semester if they are near completion of the 52 required course requirements. To request this, students must fill out a “Request for Approval of Reduced Course Load Form”, found on the Graduate School website, and must submit the form to Norma Everett at: norma.everett@buffalo.edu For further information, please visit the Graduate School website link listed in the Appendix at the end of this manual.
Students can register for classes in the HUB after they receive their UB Username and create a password. Do this by logging into MyUB and accessing the HUB Student Services Center. For more information about student enrollment, full-time and part-time status, and navigating MyUB and the HUB Student Center, students should refer to the websites listed in the Appendix.
Please keep the following important deadlines in mind. The last day to drop and add courses for the fall semester is Tuesday, September 8, 2020. The last day to resign a class is Friday, November 13, 2020.
